From July 1st to August 20th, 2019 was held the second doctoral program in Cape Coast, Ghana. Fourteen PhD students coming from, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, and Togo were trained in the areas of optical spectroscopy and bio-photonics. One of the lecturers, Prof. Martin Leahy introduced the concepts of Light interactions with tissue, Tissue Optics and Photoacoustic optoacoustic imaging.
