AFSIN Activities 2014

Give an overall description of research activities carried out in 2014.

The workshop, which was planned for 2014, has been canceled because of the Ebola crisis. ISP has approved the used of the fund to upgrade and to maintain the currents experimental setup and specifically, we design and construction of a new multispectral and multimodal microscope.

 

Give the main research results in 2014.

  • Application of remote optical spectroscopy to address agriculture and environment issues;
  • Application of the multispectral and multimodal microscope capabilities to leaves stresses and diseases diagnosis;
  • Development of an instrument for the earlier diagnosis of a severe African skin disease (Buruli ulcer);
  • Application of structured illumination technologies to study optical properties in dense medias.
